Fuchsia Cottage is situated with a southerly aspect adjacent to the beach and small harbour in Fortrose, overlooking the slipway used by the local sailing club. The cottage is built in the traditional Scottish style (c1750) of stone and is subject to conservation regulations together with the adjoining gable end walls of the original ‘Smithy’ which now forms the rear garden.

There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin with a ‘Z’ bed for a child. A cot & highchair is also available. All beds are provided with matrass, pillow & duvet protectors. Duvets are used on all beds but if you prefer to provide your own linen you will need to supply the linen i.e. sheets, pillow cases, duvet covers and towels.

Electric storage heaters provide both heat and hot water. The open fire and small wood stove are only available during the winter months.(November through March).

The kitchen has been fully equipped, with electric oven together with a separate hob. A washing machine, fridge, Microwave, Toaster, Coffee Perculator and Slow Cooker are also provided along with full inventory of utensils.

There are two main downstairs rooms. A digital TV and radio provide entertainment during the quieter hours. Selection of popular childrens board games etc available.

The bathroom contains a w.c. hand basin, bath, electric shower.

The booking period is from 4.00 pm on the day of arrival until 10.30am on the day of departure. A non returnable deposit of  20% per week is payable on booking with the balance due six weeks before arrival. 

The prices are inclusive of electricity. We offer use of  WiFi connection at no charge.

The charging of Electric vehicles from the cottage domestic supply is strictly not allowed due to fire risk.

There are no other additional charges, except for special arrangements as below:

1. As a traditional Self Catering Holiday Cottage guests supply their own linen,(see above) however in the event that this should not be possible e.g. arriving by air or rail we are able to provide linen by prior arrangement but this will attract additional £38.00 laundry charge. 2. A "Z" bed can be made available suitable for a child subject to a surcharge of £50.00. There are no additional charges for the travel cot and high chair.
