Dolphin Trips

Avoch Dolphin Trips: available during the summer, regular departures from Avoch Harbour. (1.5miles).

EcoVentures, Cromarty - Experience the thrill aboard a high speed, offshore RIB (Rigid Inflatable Boat) and share first hand the unique scenery, wildlife and history of our area. EcoVentures operate from the historic village of Cromarty on the eastern most tip of the Black Isle.

Golf

Golf Course Fortrose & Rosemarkie: This James Braid designed links has been acclaimed by golf writers as "a gem of a course" and "perhaps the brightest jewel in the Highlands golfing crown".

Mountain Biking

Learnie Red Rock Cycle Trail: One of the best kept secrets of Scottish mountain biking has now been officially opened (March 2006)- the new single track trails are now open at Learnie Forest on the Black Isle.

Mountain Bike & Family Cycle Hire. There are now Mountain Bike Trails near Rosemarkie.

Black Isle Bicycles offer bike hire, route advice, guided tours and skills sessions on the beautiful Black Isle. When you hire from them, they'll deliver your bike to where you want it – Fuchsia Cottage, a local beauty spot, one of the lovely villages - so there's no need for racks or carriers. We have hybrid bikes which will take you on or off road in comfort and also have a couple of electric assist bikes - give it a go, they're lots of fun! 

Quad Biking

Black Isle Quad Biking is aimed towards off-road family adventures, all types of group outings including, work, stag & hen parties and also more challenging technical rides for the more experienced.

Cromarty Firth Ferry

The Cromary Ferry: (The Kings Route). This small ferry only takes two cars at a time, but is a rewarding experience to cross from Cromarty to Nig. Operates June to October. Details on www.Black-Isle.info  

Wildlife

Black Isle Wildlife Park: A 50 acre park opened in 1995 with many animal enclosures, hatchery, play area, gift shop and cafe. Wide range of animals such as ducks, emu, lemur, zebra, and meercats- a really good day out with your children.
